A Club First?
On Saturday 18th March Stan shot (with his first six arrows on the day!) a perfect score of 60! We believe this to be the first perfect golden end for the Club, unless anyone knows any diferent?
Anyway, heartiest congratulations to Stan. Our current version of Haarland probably needs to watch out!
He responded last night (Tuesday 21st March) by scoring yet another golden end, and with 58 points only just missed out on equalling Stan's effort! Picture below.
Two of our archers have recently acquired compound bows and Len obviously has got the hang of changing from recurve bow as his Golden End achieved on Saturday 1st July testifies!
Today (29th July) Malcolm caught Len up shooting his first Golden End with his compound bow!
(Above) Malcolm catches Len up, producing his first GOLDEN END with his new compound bow
To prove it wasn't a fluke( below), he did it again on Tuesday evening(1st August)
Our latest Beginners' Course has just ended (21st March). Our beginners seem to be really enjoying their introduction to archery, and we look forward to welcoming some of them as full members of the Club.
HOT DRINKS We are continuing having a break during the Saturday morning shoots for a hot drink and chat - very welcome in the present frosty weather!. Remember to bring, if possible, your own mug and teaspoon. Coffee, tea, sugar, milk and hot water will be provided.
