As from Saturday 10th Feb. 2024, our Saturday morning shoot times will change from 10.00 am to 10.30 am to relieve pressure on car parking with the Park Run finishing as we are setting the range up. The session will continue to last for two hours, including a break for drinks.

BEGINNERS'COURSE (Note change of starting date!)

We are pleased to announce that (weather permitting) we will be holding a Beginners' Course (6 sessions) for anyone (over the age of 9) to find out what archery is about and learn the basic techniques.
The Sessions will be held over six Saturdays, commencing on 27th July, at our outdoor range on the Strode College Sports Field in Street, and participants will meet at 10.15 am at the Field. Equipment and tuition will be provided.

Places are limited and in high demand, so early commitment is advised. Details can be obtained from

A Club First?

On Saturday 18th March Stan shot (with his first six arrows on the day!) a perfect score of 60! We believe this to be the first perfect golden end for the Club, unless anyone knows any diferent?
Anyway, heartiest congratulations to Stan. Our current version of Haarland probably needs to watch out!
He responded last night (Tuesday 21st March) by scoring yet another golden end, and with 58 points only just missed out on equalling Stan's effort! Picture below.

Two of our archers have recently acquired compound bows and Len obviously has got the hang of changing from recurve bow as his Golden End achieved on Saturday 1st July testifies!

Today (29th July) Malcolm caught Len up shooting his first Golden End with his compound bow!

We are continuing having a break during the Saturday morning shoots for a hot drink and chat - very welcome in the present frosty weather!. Remember to bring, if possible, your own mug and teaspoon. Coffee, tea, sugar, milk and hot water will be provided.

We meet at the Sports Centre of Strode College, Church Road, Street, Somerset, BA16 0AB.
The Sports Centre is located at the far end of a large car park on Church Road, Street. Driving along Church Road and passing the Parish Church on your left and the College and Strode Theatre on your right the road turns to the left. Before the mini-roundabout the car park entrance is on your right.  Drive through the car park which narrows and then widens out you will find the Sports Centre straight ahead.
